An author of the sculpture – Eduardas Titas, a folk craftsman from Miežiškiai village (Panevėžys distr.). He values mostly oak and carves only from oak as he believes oak gives him energy and ideas for his works.
The sculpture of Grand Duke of Lithuania Kęstutis symbolises strength and power of men.
Grand Duke Kęstutis was a ruler of medieval Lithuania and the Duke of Trakai. Around 1376 by his own initiative the castle was built on an island. Kęstutis organized the defence of western Lithuania and Samogitia against the Teutonic Knights, and organized raids against the German Order.
